ICU on Wheels

CALL 24 Hrs. x 7 Days : 09800603330

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT :

Purulia is a backward rural and poor area of West Bengal, India. This area has no medical facilities. So the patient with severe problem has to be shifted to the nearby areas with better Medical Facilities. It is easily assumable that if a patient suffering from severe cardiac trouble and need better medical treatments then we have to shift him / her to Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Durgapur or Bokaro. Now days it is being done by normal ambulances without modern equipments, and there is a high risk of casualties. The time is also an important factor for casualties. Rotary Club of Purulia has filled the gap by introducing an ICU on Wheels Service (An ambulance with ICU facilities) which is well equipped with modern facilities. This has enabled to increase the pace of work in the field of Health Care and decrease the rate of casualties. This project is yet another step to tap the untouched potential in the region and bridged the gap by serving this need of the community. Added capacity of Rotary Club of Purulia has directly been related to increase Health treatment being meted out to the people, especially those who cannot or do not have access to Health Care facilities in the backward rural district of Purulia in West Bengal, India. More number of patients is being served, leading to reduce mortality rate which can eventually be related to working at a faster pace to provide better Health Care in the district.
